The Step-Daughter Quilt


My step-daughter turned fifteen this week, so no little-kid themes for her! I took leftovers from a wedding quilt I made in the summer and put them together in a windmill pattern, spent five hours densely quilting the damned thing – and voila! a bed-topper to go with a new duvet and cover for her room. 60 x 60 – I figure it makes for a mature enough gift that she might even use it as a couch or lap quilt as she gets older:
