More apocalypse, less angst
Don’t have much to say today because it’s a running around kindof day – so here are some pictures of a quilt top I finished last night. A double-sized made from scraps from other projects (except the white sashing). Now I’ve got to baste and quilt the damned thing!
Wow splendid! A lot of work there … beautiful!
Debbie 🙂
Love the colors and the intricate pattern – well done!
How does one baste?
Basting a quilt is the process of attaching the three quilt layers together (back, batting and top) in preparation for quilting it. It’s done either through pinning, loose stitching or using a light adhesive product… and I find it the most onerous quilting task because it entails getting everything straight and wrinkle free! The quilting process comes next, and then binding (the fabric edging that joins the three layers together).
