Finding colour on a foggy day!

My first two #tarot readings of the year are deeply harmonized with one another. The first reading (on the right) is from the full moon, the one on the left from today. I am clearly on a path with momentum, am not wrong about where I need to go next.

Someone on my island was giving away boxes of fabric sample books. I managed to restrain myself to one box.... but I could easily have taken then all if had room and a vision for what to do with them.

The power went out as I was getting ready to start work at 5:30 this morning. Can't say I mind having a cozy read by the fire as the day lightens up outside. Feeling very grateful for a full woodshed, battery operated lamps, and a gas range for the morning tea.

Funny how putting prints into a frame suddenly elevates them to "real" artwork.

I managed to get a little art-making in on the weekend and did some gelli printing with metallics. The sheen doesn't quite come through here, but these were my favourite prints from the session.

I've made some art cards that I'm quite pleased with. Thinking of creating a deck of personal journaling and creative prompt cards to work with as a next step.

A fun holiday craft: handmade folded gift boxes for cookie-gifting. I've been making these with all kinds of paper and printed cardstock. Google "Making Things Origami Magazine Box" to find online instructions.
