I’m awaiting five yards of vegetable garden soil to be delivered to my back alley at the moment. Five yards of earth to move into the boxes Brian and I finished building and placing a couple of weeks ago…. it’s a lot of work but I’m excited by the prospect of being able to plant garlic before the winter comes, and having beds ready for planting as early as the late frost allows.

Little by little our home is coming together, finished the suite (almost), getting the office/guest room set up (just put a couch in there two days ago), one side of the yard transformation almost complete (other half to begin next spring)….. It’s all very exciting, this putting down roots in East Van finally, after a decade and a half here. Just thought I’d say it again – I am really very happy here, in my relationship and building home.
