Weekend labours.

Tuesday already! And I had another diverse and productive weekend. This one being three days because of my flex Mondays which I am finally taking advantage of again. The photo above is of the big project that Brian and I completed over the weekend – the skeleton of the new vegetable garden and hang-out space in the backyard which I will document in greater detail over at my garden blog – but for those of you who don’t care much about the process I’m sure the photo will suffice. In any event, we have more work to do this fall (5 yards of dirt need to be shoveled into those boxes) but by the end of it we will have an incredible amount of vegetable growing space plus a nice little cozy bench space for hanging amongst the green growing things.

Besides the great excitement of building our home together a little further, I also went to an IAF workshop, had friends over for drinks, got some more writing done and managed to do all the weekly chores before coming back to work today. It’s a busy time right now, meetings and workshops every night this week, heading to the Sunshine Coast on Saturday for a day of working around that place to move all the junk out and survey what work needs to be done there over the next year, and then back Saturday night for a friend’s birthday. Sunday is me and B’s 2-year anniversary and we’ve got some city-roaming plus big-time lounging together planned for Sunday and Monday……. Then it’s October and I can’t even think about that quite yet since every weekend’s got stuff packed into it already (for those of you coming Thanksgiving, the free-range organic turkey has been ordered)…..
