More apocalypse, less angst

down here at my house on the coast today it rained and rained. about 10 km above my house in the tetrahedron range it snowed and snowed. nathan and i were lucky enough to be up there in a half a foot of fresh, untracked snow – as no one had come before us since the snow had started. we hiked about 5 km up and back down the old logging road (now cross-country ski trails) to tannis lake.
i am hoping to get the opportunity to go back up there on skis later this season (or at the very least – snowshoes) – the only dilemma being my lack of a vehicle to tackle snowy, steep logging roads. i guess i will have to get more friends with 4 wd to come and visit.

on the way back down, we saw that the wet front was beginning to break as evidenced by setting sun – we are thinking of going kayaking in salmon inlet tomorrow if the rain holds off.
i don’t think i have ever before taken advantage of the sea to sky nature of where i live before quite like this 🙂
hey meg, did you know that i just recently bought a 4×4? yep, and it is yellow and looks like an alien bug! Still planning to come visit soon, I will call you…
huzzah! ask and ye shall receive i say! lets go snowshoeing jeremy! (ps – want to come for new years?)
