More apocalypse, less angst
nathan has rented a crazy little cabin on 5 acres in tonasket, washington. (if you follow that link you will notice that the “city” of tonasket has website useful for almost no purpose).
anyhow – this cabin was originally built in 1912, and backs onto state forest land. looking at the pictures sent by the real estate agent, it appears as though this place hasn’t been lived in for awhile, but is generally sound enough and just needs a little tlc. i have included a picture of it so y’all can see where i will be spending part of my time this fall…. looks like a good place to escape from the urban to me….

I just joined the B.C. Federation of Writers, and one of the perks of membership is being able to apply for a residency at Horsefly Manor on Quesnel Lake. It’s like turpentine on the artist’s ego, but I don’t have one of those anyway, so I’m probably going to apply.
wow – that’s an even crazier little cabin there in horsefly – i’m not sure i could write with all that quiet! or without a laptop :)…. i hope you get accepted to go there.
I like the cabin! both of them really 🙂
however, I don’t know if the Tonasket website can be called useless 🙂
for a “government” site I thought it had all the information I could possibly want – including the fact that tonasket has 4 cops and 1 police clerk and the town librarian prefers to be called Meg… and that it is 30degrees at 8:30pm! yikes.
